Our panellists:
Rick Clark is assistant vice-provost of enrolment management and executive director of undergraduate admissions at Georgia Tech. He travels annually to US embassies through the Department of State to discuss the admissions process and American higher education. He is co-author of The Truth about College Admission: A Family Guide to Getting In and Staying Together and co-hosts a podcast under the same name. He holds a BA from the UNC-Chapel Hill and an MEd from Georgia State University.
Juan Espinoza serves as associate vice-provost for enrolment and degree management, and director of admissions at Virginia Tech. He led the team in undergraduate admissions to reinvent the admissions model at VT. Those changes have resulted in record applications and record diversity, as well as matriculation of the strongest academic incoming classes in the institution’s history.
Norma Rodenburg is vice-provost and university registrar at the University of Alberta, with oversight of undergraduate student recruitment, admissions and enrolment management. She has more than 20 years’ experience in a diverse range of student affairs positions at UofA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from UofA and a Master of Arts in leadership from Royal Roads University.
Dilshad Sheikh holds a dual strategic leadership position as dean of the Faculty of Business and deputy pro vice-chancellor (academic) at Arden University in the UK. She has more than two decades’ experience in the higher education sector gained from multiple roles, ranging from teaching in the classroom to senior management positions.
